Distribution Lists

What is a distribution list?

A distribution list is an email address that you can add multiple recipients to.

When you send a message to the list's email address, that message is then forwarded to all members of the list.

This allows you to send the same message to everyone on a list, without needing to CC each person.

Configurable list options are:

Sending Mail:

  • Anyone can send to this list
  • Only members can send to this list
  • Only internal users can send to this list
  • Only specific users can send to this list

New Subscription Requests:

  • Automatically accept
  • Require list owner approval
  • Automatically reject

Unsubscription Requests:

  • Automatically accept
  • Require list owner approval
  • Automatically reject

External email addresses may also be added as list members.
