What is the Auto White List (AWL)

The AWL should really be renamed “score averager”. It simply keeps track of the average spam scored by emails received from each sender and moves new emails towards the average. This means a one off email coming from a known good sender which looks like spam should still be let through even if it would otherwise be blocked.
